Problem with Guitar Intonation

My guitar (encore gibson les paul) is in tune but when i play the lowest frets there is a rattling noise and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fret sound the same.

Take your guitar to a qualified repair person and have the neck and bridge adjusted. It is a fairly inexpensive procedure and one that you would be wise not to attempt to do yourself.
