I would appreciate if you can direct me to the steps i have to do to be able to play chord melody.Thanks.
ANSWER
Hi, Arthur--
To play a chord melody, you use the inversion of the chord that puts the melody not as the highest note in the chord.
If the melody note is not in the chord, use the closest inversion and substitute the melody note for the highest note in the chord.
If you need more information about chord inversions, please visit Piano Chord Inversions. The information is geared toward piano, but applies to any instrument.
