How Can I Learn Alternate Picking?

Hi Lynne,
I want to ask you whether alternate picking can be learned through one scale or it requires to train it on most tracks possible and whether it takes only days,months,years, to catch it?
in fact I'm enjoying your guidance and I appreciate that.

Hi, Badis--

Practice alternate picking on all of your scales and on any solos that you play. How long does it take? It depends on too many factors--time spent, quality of practice, innate ability, etc--for me to answer that question. It happen when it happens. Just keep practicing.
