Gretsch 16 inch tom with mounting bracket, other mount options?

Not the drum but same kind of mount.

I have Gretch 16 inch tom, not a floor tom but a good size tom. It does have the Gretsch mounting bracket. When ever I hook it up to a stand it's wobbly. Is there a large snare stand I can use or another way to mount this? I've attached a picture but this is not the drum but looks the same.
