Drum sizes Europe and U.S.A

Have the chance to buy Gretsch catalina kit that is now discontinued. Seller says sizes are earlier U.S. Sizes and are different to standard European sizes. Would there be any issues replacing skins/ head? Would there be any other concerns?

I think that the wisest thing to do is get exact measurements from the seller and then see if the online music stores sell those sizes of heads.

Otherwise, I see no problems since the set being an earlier set means that it uses standard hardware.
