Changing Snare Drum's Snare?

Is there a type or brand of snare you recommend me getting? Not the snare drum, just the snare part. I think my old one's worn out because it makes a terrible rattling sound

The best thing to do is to take your snare drum to a local music store. There are different kinds of fittings and different sizes of snares.

The wide snares are really nice and should make your drum sound a lot better.
