Any way to convert a timbale drum into a snare?

Hey, I've recently acquired a stripped down Ludwig timbale. It's still got pretty much everything attached, and I was wondering if there's any way that I can convert this into a snare? I assume it would require welding, but I'm not sure on the specifics of how to complete it. If you could help, that would be fantastic!
