Is electric acoustic easier to play than non electric?

ANSWER

Hi, Hugh--

The additions of electronics to an acoustic guitar does not really affect the action. The purpose of the electronics is to make the guitar louder and maybe to let the player add some effects, but the basic action is the same as an acoustic without electronics.

Ease of playing has more to do with the structure and quality of the guitar. Better quality acoustics tend to be easier to play.
